GOAL #1: PK-6th grade students will improve number sense through mathematics.

This goal was determined after our elementary staff examined reading, math, and science scores from MAP and NSCAS over a 5 year period to find the area that was consistently the weakest.  We found that our math number sense scores were the weakest area across these three subjects, so we chose that as our goal.

GOAL #2: 7-12th grade students will increase their reading comprehension scores based off of NSCAS, ACT, MAP, and in-class assessments.

The JH/HS goal was chosen after a "Data Dig" from the current/previous years data.  Steph Lundgren from ESU 8 led the team in the Data Dig Process.  We looked at the Strengths, Challenges, and Implications from our MAP/ACT Reading, MAP/ACT Math, MAP/ACT Science, Demographic, Perceptual, and Programs and Processes Data.  We then reviewed the data from the Data Dig at a later staff meeting and as a group came up with our final goal of "Increase our Reading Comprehension scores based off of our NSCAS, MAP, ACT, and in-class assignments."
