UPDATE: The JH meet in Valentine tomorrow has been postponed, no make up date yet.
Every Monday leading up to graduation, I’ll (Mrs. Ruppert) be sharing West Holt seniors and their plans for what comes next. Here are this week’s seniors. Thank you to Mrs. Kraus and her Yearbook class for creating these pictures using AI and thank you, Amber Shane, for allowing us to use the school pictures in this process. It was a great way for students to learn about AI creation and copyright issues with this quickly evolving technology.
This time of year brings so many emotions. As a school counselor, it is truly a privilege to watch these students grow—not just academically, but as people. I’ve seen them face challenges, celebrate successes, and become the young adults they are today.
It’s bittersweet knowing I won’t see them in the halls much longer. Letting them go is never easy.
But more than anything, I feel incredibly proud. They are ready—ready to take on new challenges and create their own paths.
It’s a little scary to “push them out of the nest,” but it is also beautiful to watch them spread their wings and fly.
David Armstrong - Music Education - Wayne State College
Azul Chavez - Business Administration - University of Nebraska - Omaha
Cale Deseive - Animal Science - Kansas State University
Beau Duhachek - Diesel Technology - Mitchell Technical College
Lucas Griess - Pre-Law - University of Nebraska - Lincoln
Ava Hoffman - Pre Law - University of Nebraska - Lincoln
Lane Keogh - Electrical - Mitchell Technical College
Madison Kratz - Nursing - University of Nebraska - Kearney

Congratulations to these athletes who have qualified to compete at the Norfolk Classic Track Meet this Thursday, April 30th. Field Events will begin at 4:00 and running events at 5:00. Because this is a fast-paced meet with only one heat/flight/section in each event, those who qualified may not compete in everything they qualified in. Also, we have a couple athletes who are sitting as alternates in events, who may get to compete if athletes scratch out of their events.

🍃 P•L•A•N•T•S 🌼 Miss Sweeney's Pre-K littles have been busy learning about and caring for plants from start to finish! They planted seeds in soil, cared for sprouts with water and sun, and even practiced trimming their grass. 💧 ☀️ ✂️ Through these hands-on experiences and read-aloud texts, students are developing their fine motor skills, building their vocabularies, learning the characteristics of living things, and practicing patience and responsibility. It's amazing to watch their plants and skills grow! 💙💚

Please come support West Holt FFA members and get some great plants!
