Spanish and Foods classes worked together and prepared for Dia de los Muertos. Spanish III made sugar skulls as their learned about this important Mexican celebration. All Spanish classes also made pan de muerto, which is customary for this holiday. They also had the chance to try the brand new commercial mixers.

Our fourth graders have been diving into simple electrical systems! Their challenge was to connect a solar panel, two wires, and a motor to make a small fan spin. By experimenting and working together, they discovered how electricity flows through a circuit and how solar energy can be transformed into motion. The students were thrilled to see their fans come to life and can’t wait to keep learning about the many forms of energy all around us!
