West Holt High School and Atkinson Chamber of Commerce to Host Career/Job Fair at West Holt
A Career/Job Fair will be hosted by the West Holt and the Atkinson Chamber of Commerce on the morning of Friday, November 17th.
West Holt students will attend and have the opportunity to talk with community members who are currently working in a career that interests them. Over 40 careers were represented last year in the fair. Some of the careers students were able to learn about were: Mental Health, Health Care, Banking, Funeral Services, Senior Care, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Graphic Design, Culinary Skills, Electrician, Construction, Ag Sales, Ag Equipment, Trucking-Feed Sales, Administrative Assistant, Veterinarian, Barista, Florist, Retail/Sales, Financial Advisor, Attorney, Law Enforcement, Childcare, Atkinson City Offices, Atkinson Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Community College, Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning, Hospitality Services, Radio/Communications, Ag Electrical, Travel Agent, Entrepreneurs, Ranch Management, Non-Profit Management and Marketing, and a Court Reporter.

Functional Skills Classroom Kindness Project
A back to school story illustrating how we show kindness in our actions, and through our words with others, sparked a memory in the students about a recent graduate of West Holt, public schools. The kindness he showed toward our students brought them joy. Joy that led them to want to write a letter in the mail it to him at college.
2nd grade has been learning about location and where we live. Mrs. Havranek's class purchased land to create their own campground.

Junior High Science classes have spent this week learning and reviewing how to use lab equipment to gather scientific data. Students measured temperature, mass, length, and volume for a variety of objects.
Yesterday at the Ainsworth Cross Country Meet, the Junior High girls were MEET CHAMPIONS and the High School Girls finished as Meet Runner-Up. Medalists were:

Congrats to the West Holt Girls Golf team on their runner-up finish today at their own Invite! They showed a lot of grit as they worked through some windy conditions. Individual medals: Daleni Knust 1st, Brinley Kerkman 9th, Abby Mathis 10th & Madi Hilkemeier 15th.
