The meaning behind "Get home, son!":
Quincy Hall said he had one thing going through his mind as he pushed to finish and claim gold in the Olympic 400 meter race, “Get home, son!”
Hall said, “I’ve got determination. That’s what got me to that line. A lot of hurt, a lot of pain.”
We feel like this sentiment can be applied to every person on the team. It could be the 3200. It could be the 100. It could be your final throw, jump, or vault of the meet. It could be running your first hurdle race ever. It could simply be making it through a practice. It applies to your first season or the last meet of your career.
Simply put, “Finish.”
