The 3rd Graders in Mrs. Flannery's class spent the last couple of weeks celebrating National Agriculture Month. Each week during the month of March focused on a different agricultural commodity. They learned about the many uses of corn, soybeans, cattle, and hogs. They have a better understanding of the important role that agriculture plays in our daily lives. They also learned a bunch of interesting agricultural facts. How many of you knew a pig could run a 7 minute mile?! Or that there are about 800 kernels of corn on each ear of corn?
