8th grade had a pizza party today! Why? At the very beginning of the school year there was a student who decided to write all of his vocabulary sentences about Mrs. Jakubowski throwing a pizza party. As the school year went on, more and more students also started to write their vocabulary sentences about having a pizza party. By the end of the year, all of 2nd period was writing about having a pizza party using 240 different vocabulary words that we have learned over this school year!

FROM COACH NEPTUNE: A BIG THANK YOU It is amazing to me that a small community like Atkinson can come together and host some pretty impressive events, like our Speech meets, wrestling meets, basketball and volleyball tournaments, tracks meets and Im sure the list goes on. Yesterday wasn't an ideal day due to rain but our events workers held out like troopers and I really appreciate that so a HUGE thank you to all that contributed in some way at the track meet yesterday. To our athletes a job well done keep working hard and for those of you competing next week your journey is not over. To our track coaches you have had an outstanding year and I am proud of you keep up the good work and keep pushing through next week. The golf team competing at district on Monday good luck to you and it looks like you are hitting your stride at the right time, get after and compete well, we will be rooting for you. Listen to Coach Hale he has a lot of experience and wisdom and he can lead you to great things. It has been an outstanding year for West Holt Athletics and Activities keep up the good work and finish strong.
